The actuator has a rotor (10) with permanent magnets (12), and a stator (14) comprising pole plates and stator coils (18). A nut is connected with the rotor in a torque proof manner. A positioning rod is provided with an external thread (34) and is guided in the nut. A rotary movement of the rotor is converted into a linear movement of the positioning rod. The stator coils are arranged coaxial to the magnets in an axial direction.
