<p>The method involves geometrically measuring a part of an auditory canal, and extrapolating the geometry of the rest part of the auditory canal, where the canal is directly scanned during measurement. A geometrical model is established from the measured and extrapolated geometry of the canal, and the acoustic model of the canal is adjusted based on the geometrical model. An otoplastic or a hearing aid shell is designed using the geometrical and the acoustic models, where the form of the otoplastic or the shell is provided in the acoustic model. An independent claim is also included for a method of adjusting a hearing aid.</p> |
