METHOD FOR PRODUCING ROSE HIP EXTRACT, AND FOOD AND DRINK CONTAINING THE EXTRACT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing rose hip extract by which extraction of astringency and bitterness is suppressed while comfortable rose-hip aroma is sufficiently taken.

SOLUTION: The method for producing rose hip extract for food and drink comprises soaking 1-10 mass% of rose hip in a water-soluble organic solvent/water-base extract solvent containing 20-90 vol.% of the water-soluble organic solvent at a temperature enough to be applicable to extraction for 3-8 days to obtain extract liquid.
