PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer carrier having twill line-like grooves for a developing device capable of suppressing occurrence of pitch-like vertical black streaks. SOLUTION: In the developer carrier for a developing device having twill line-like grooves formed in such a way that a plurality of grooves extending in a direction inclined at a sharp angle to a rotation thrust direction intersect with a plurality of grooves extending in a direction inclined at a sharp angle to a direction opposite to the thrust direction, the distance between groove intersection points of the twill line-like grooves in the thrust direction is in the range of 1.3-4.8 mm.
