PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment provided with an opening and closing mechanism and allowing a user to confirm its opening or closing condition securely and easily even under the situation where the number of lamps around it is small or a lamp does not exist. SOLUTION: A part of a member is included in a traveling member, and an opening and closing part is opened and closed by travel of the traveling member. The traveling member is positioned to realize an opened condition when power supply of the device is turned on and realize a blocked condition when power supply of the device is not turned on the contrary. The traveling member is provided with an illumination part, which has a function for assisting the user in confirming each member included in the traveling member visually. A control part can detect an opening or closing condition of the opening and closing part by an opening or closing condition detection part. It changes amount of illumination outputted by the illumination part based on settings decided in advance when the opening or closing condition detection part detects change of the opening or closing condition of the opening and closing part.
