The present invention provides a positioning and safety lanyard device, for use in the prevention of falls from an elevated height, comprised of: two loops or substantially looped portions, a fixed loop and an adjustable loop, the adjustable loop having a pull side with which to either, while the wire positioning and safety lanyard device is in use, shorten or lengthen the adjustable loop depending on the direction of pull; crimped, no-slide wire holders or the like; slidable wire holders or the like; a knot configuration with which the fixed loop and the adjustable loop are adjoined; and spring-loaded clasps or the like at each end of the positioning and safety lanyard device.
