The invention relates to a method for producing thermoplastic elastomers, comprising the following steps: a) providing a polycondensate which carries reactive groups selected from -NH<SUB>2</SUB> and -OH, b) providing a soft component, selected from polyether and polyester, which carries isocyanate groups, c) reacting the polycondensate with the soft component in a solution or a melt. The structure and properties of these novel thermoplastic elastomers can be adjusted over a wide range. The inventive method allows to produce thermoplastic elastomers having polyester soft segments that are not producible by direct polycondensation. |
