The neuro-fuzzy controlling method and its system of a washing machine have a function for changing a control function defined in itself automatically and a learning function for re-defining it, thereby the performance improves continuously according to a repeated use of the washing machine with a remarkable effect. The method includes the steps of changing a look-up table automatically so that the best cleaning state is obtained by a repeated learning in using a neural network, and includes an execution of the fuzzy control by an input contrast output with a changed look-up table.
