This invention is concerned with a convex stripe of a steel plate attached to the side of the railroad transportation vehicle and large buses. Prior art forming methods (ex. Roll & Drop Hammer method/Rubber Press) have some problems of scratching the surface of plates. But in this invention, a plate is formed by a water pressure water forming press consisting of a pair of dies. The upper die (11) has a stripe shape (13) to be formed, and lower one (12) has several compressed water inducing holes (14). By supplying high compressed water into the die, the steel plate can be formed easily without any scratch. This device guranttes high quality surface and lower forming cost.
