The potter wheel (1) has an applied packing (8) and a hole (2) which connects to a hollow space (4) in the rotary shaft (3) which issues into a coupling (11) which does not rotate with the shaft (3). The coupling (11) being connected to a vacuum system which is controlled by a valve of the 3/2 type. - Around the shaft (3) with laterally issuing hollow space (5), the coupling consists of a packing box (11) which seals against the shaft (3) with the aid of radial seals (12) placed over and under the crossways hole (5). The packing box is fixed axially with the aid of sealing rings (17, 18) and a stay (16) prevents the packing box rotating with the shaft (3). The packing box has a connection (20) which is coupled to the vacuum system. |
