The device has a sensor (14) that determines a signal for controlling a parking lighting system (16) of a motor vehicle. A controller (12) is provided for controlling the parking lighting system and an interior lighting system (18) depending on the signal of the sensor. A power supply unit (20) is provided with a charge condition, and a switchable drive device is provided for driving the motor vehicle. The sensor is active after switching-off the drive device only for a predetermined time. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling neutral lighting systems of a motor vehicle. |
