An information recording apparatus comprising a receiving device for receiving a carrier signal, which carries a broadcast program and in which program information for identifying the broadcast program is embedded at predetermined time intervals. A recording device for recording the carried broadcast program by a title unit set by a user so as to include a plurality of broadcast programs, onto an information recording medium, on the basis of the received carrier signal; and a determining device for determining program information corresponding to a broadcast program having a longest recording time in the title unit, out of the embedded program information, as correspondence program information corresponding to the title unit recorded or to be recorded, on the basis of the received carrier signal.
