PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily continue decoding without defects, nor having two time bases, even when the time base of an input TS from the transmission system become discontinuous. SOLUTION: When discontinuity is generated, how many picture data are inputted at the input buffer 7 is confirmed, and the decode of the picture for the number is performed unconditionally without comparing DTS and STC. When a time base is changed, the number of the picture to be decoded can be easily obtained without comparing the DTS and STC thereafter, by checking each picture with a PCR extracting part 2 of a TS input stage, extracting the DTS, and managing its information separately from the picture data in an ID and a DTS holding part 6. Thus, when there is the change of the time base, the decode is continued without defects. |
