Apparatus for transmitting impact energy from a striking mass to a driven member comprises three aligned elements, the first 2 of which is adapted to interact with the striking mass, and is made massive; the second element 3, is adapted to interact with the driven member, is opposite to the first element and acts as a support; and the third shock-absorbing element 4 is connected to the first and second elements. The shock-absorbing element comprises successively connected central bar 5 and at least two concentrically arranged tubular members 6, 7.
