An attaching device (10) for attaching a gutter-sectional strip (12) to an edge (14A) of a plate-like portion (14) of an object, the gutter-sectional strip (12) including a pair of arm pieces (12A) opposing each other and a back length (12B) connecting the arm pieces (12A) with each other. The device (10) comprises a body (18) having a passage (16) for the gutter-sectional strip (12); a pressing groove (36), provided in the body (18), for receiving the gutter-sectional strip (12) with the back length (12B) thereof being firstly received; a support surface (22) provided in the body (18) and substantially opposing and cooperating with the pressing groove (36) to hold therebetween the object having the plate-like portion (14); and a strip guide (24) provided in the passage (16) for guiding the gutter-sectional strip (12) toward the pressing groove (36) while spreading out the arm pieces (12A) of the gutter-sectional strip (12) as the gutter-sectional strip (12) is fed along the passage (16). |
