The filter bag (1) has an inlet opening (3) with a redirecting device (2) that is arranged in an interior of the filter bag. The inlet opening is formed in such a manner that air flow entered over the inlet opening is redirected by the redirecting device. An air-permeable material layer (4) is arranged in the interior of the filter bag and connected at a position with the filter bag. The material layer has a part that is unconnected with the filter bag and encloses a part of an edge of the material layer.
