An aqueous dispersion containing a latex, an alkaline earth metal formiate, cellulose ether and lauryl sulphonate can be added to a concrete mixture as an auxiliary agent to make the concrete more flexible an d reduce shrinkage during setting. Adding the dispersion to concrete mixtures allows also addition of fillers hitherto regarded as toxic to cement.
