<p>A method and a digital broadcast receiving terminal are provided. The terminal includes a receiving unit, a decoder, a memory, and a controller. The receiving unit receives a digital multimedia broadcast transport stream and the decoder decodes data included in the transport stream. The memory stores system information obtained from a previously received transport stream. The controller provides a signal for controlling an initial broadcast receiving operation of the terminal using information stored in the memory to reduce an initial operating time required for the terminal to receive a broadcast.</p> |
