FIELD: medical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves applying microscopic study of epilated eyelashes. Pilocarpine is used as contact medium. The number of viable moving and dead tick individuals quantity is determined in course of the study. Then, invasiveness factor is calculated as ratio between the number of ticks found on eyelashes, and the number of eyelashes subjected to study. Formula is used K(inv)=KT/KE, where K(inv) is the invasiveness factor, KT is the total number of ticks, KE is the number of epilated eyelashes. The coefficient value being greater than 0.20, demodecosis diagnosis is set. Then, alive mobile individuals percent is calculated with respect to the total number of detected ticks. The living individuals number being equal to or greater than 50%, active demodecosis diagnosis is set. ^ EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis. |
