<p>The image sensor has a number of image converters (3) directly abutting one another, for covering a relatively large surface area without any gaps. The image converters are coupled via optical fibres (2) to a scintillator (1), with at least some of the optical fibres, which lie directly next to one another at the scintillator extending at an angle which is less than 90 degrees to the image converters, so that a gap (4) is left between them at the boundary point between two adjacent image converters. Pref. the optical fibres are arranged as optical fibre bundles, with only the optical fibre bundles at the boundary points between the image converters extending at an angle which is different to 90 degrees.</p> |
