A filter element consists of a planar drainage element (4) and a filter membrane (1) precipitated directly onto the drainage element (4), enclosing a part of the drainage element. Said drainage element (4) is preferably a polymer spacer fabric made from a first and a second mesh material and a pile fibre system arranged between the above as a spacer and connecting material.
