The invention relates to a sealing section (1) which is intended to be disposedbetween a window panel (3) and the body (2) of a vehicle. The invention is characterisedin that the section forms an acoustic damping means when subjected to the effectof a vibration field. The inventive section ensures a shear operation associatedwith the local movements of the window in the plane thereof, while the body deformsin the direction of the local normal to the window.
