<p>It is possible to provide an object detection device capable of accurately detecting an object according to the type of the object. The object detection device includes: object position detection means (2, 22, 3, 23) for detecting the object position; object type estimation means (24) for estimating the object type; and object estimation means 24 for integrating the position detection results obtained by the object position detection means (2, 22, 3, 23) in a search range so as to estimate the object size. The search range is set according to the object type estimated by the object type estimation means (24). Furthermore, the object position detection means (2, 22, 3, 23) detects the object position by using a plurality of position detection references. The object type estimation means (24) estimates the object type according to the position detection references used to detect the object position by the object position detection means (2, 22, 3, 23).
