The system has two surfaces (6, 7) for receiving respective formats of a portable object. One surface is associated with a data control device by connection with contacts and another surface is associated with a data control device by connection without contacts. Two antennas are adjacent between the surfaces and fields of influence of the antennas cover each one a portion of the other reception surface. The surfaces have portions via which an image acquisition device acquires the graphic information present on supports of portable objects.
