[PROBLEMS] To provide a blood dialysis apparatus, in which a plural number of adequate dialysis therapy data (time-series data), wherein an estimated dry weight is closely similar to the dry weight, are memorized and thus it can be easily determined whether or not the subsequent dialysis therapy process achieves adequate therapeutic effects closely similar to the dry weight, and a blood dialysis method. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A blood dialysis apparatus comprising: a dialytic treatment unit by which water is removed in accordance with the water removal amount determined based on an estimated dry weight and dialysis therapy is conducted; a ?BV detection unit (9) by which BV of the blood under extracorporeal circulation is measured at multiple points through time in the course of the dialysis therapy by using the dialytic treatment unit to thereby give time-series data; a determination unit (10) by which it is determined whether or not the estimated dry weight is closely similar to the dry weight after the completion of the dialytic therapy by using the dialytic treatment unit to thereby determine the adequacy of the dialysis therapy; and a memory unit (11) by which a plural number of the time-series data of the dialysis therapy having been judged as adequate by the determination unit (10) can be memorized.
