Provided is a wiper control device capable of performing a wiper control to discriminate signal changes at the instants when a wiper blade passes and when rain droplets or the like attach, thereby to follow the status change of a detection target face promptly. An estimate unit (6) comprises a displacement situation data generation unit (61) for determining, during both the time periods, for which the wiper plate is active and inactive, displacement situation data expressing the displacement situation of the output signal of a light receiving element on the basis of the individual sampling data rows obtained for plural kinds of sampling periods, a pattern data storage unit (64) stored in advance with displacement situation pattern data expressing the displacement situations of the individual output signals of the light receiving element of the cases, in which a substance attaches to or contacts with the detection target face and in which the wiper blade passes over the detection target face, and a collation unit (62) for collating the displacement situation data determined by the displacement situation data generation unit (61) and the displacement situation pattern data of the pattern data storage unit (64), thereby to output an estimation result signal indicating the status of the detection target face.
