The system has light segments (1), an emitter segment (2), termination segments (3), connection segments and bent segments (5) arranged to create a lighting circuit, where the light segments have light sources (L) e.g. LEDs, that are supplied by electric current. An end to end mechanical connecting unit has a simple ferrite core (F), in the form of a strip, adapted to transmit the electric current from one of the segments to the other segment in the lighting circuit by induction. The emitter segment is connected with an electric power source by a cable (82) provided with a connector (81).
