<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bottom of a storage container for storing a pasty substance from deforming to eliminate a wasteful residual, and to prevent a malfunction such as tilting of the container. <P>SOLUTION: A deformation-resistant tool 20 is placed below the bottom of a drum W for storing the pasty substance such as paint, an adhesive and a sealer, thereby preventing the drum W from deforming. The tool 20 is constituted of a disklike base plate 21 with a diameter slightly smaller than that of the bottom of the drum W and a truncated-cone-shaped plate 22 with a smaller diameter than the substrate 21 and the center swollen via a slope t, which are unified.
