Power steering has a servo motor (7,8), a reactive arrangement (10) and an actuator (12). A port valve (19) separates the actuator from the servo-pump (15) in a switching position and connects the actuator with the servo-pump in another switching position. In the second switching position the rotary slide valve is connected over a reduced conduit cross section in the port valve or a separate throttle with the servo-pump.
