A work transport apparatus includes a carriage (4) to carry a work (W) along a guide lane; a work loading mechanism (5) to load the work on the carriage (4) at a work loading position; and a work unloading mechanism to unload the work from the carriage at a work unloading position. Each of the work loading mechanism (5), the carriage (4) and the work unloading mechanism includes a work sliding incline (35,26) sloping down to move the work (W) held on a holder (12) from the work loading mechanism (5) through the carriage (4) to the work unloading mechanism. Each of the work unloading mechanism, the carriage (4) and the work loading mechanism (5) includes a holder (12) sliding incline (27,36) sloping down to move the holder (12) from the work unloading mechanism through the carriage (4) to the work loading mechanism (5).
