Provided is a method for setting the environment of a mobile communication terminal providing a Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). The method includes displaying a received multimedia message, extracting contents from the received multimedia message to construct a theme, setting the environment of the mobile communication terminal by mapping the contents of the theme to environment settings of the mobile communication terminal based on a one-to-one correspondence, and automatically and collectively changing the environment of the mobile communication terminal according to the environment setting.
