The system (3) has a unit (4), which is provided for determining energy of a vehicle electrical system. An emergency battery (10) is provided, where a power supply of the unit (4) is switched over to the emergency battery in case of loss of the energy of the vehicle electrical system and/or in case of unacceptable reduction of the voltage of the vehicle electrical system. The emergency battery consists of an activatable battery.
