The device has locking profiles (21, 22) extending in moving direction and to bring sides of guide rails (3) and bearing rails (5) of sliding guides in mutual interference. Locking bodies (27, 28) lie consecutively in the moving direction, and supporting regions running to the profiles are provided. The rails and profiles are supported opposite to one another in the supporting regions until the profiles achieve their position corresponding to a locking position as end position and engage into one another.
