<p>The invention concerns a powder metal composition comprising an iron based powderand a lubricant and/or binder comprising at least one secondary amide of the generalformula: R1-NH-CO-R2, wherein R1 and R2are the same or different, straight or branched, saturated or unsaturated aliphatichydrocarbon groups . The invention further concerns a method of making greenbodies of the powder metal composition according to the invention, a method ofproducing a bonded iron-based powder composition, as well as the use of the atleast one secondary amide as a lubricating and/or binding agent for iron basedpowders and the use as a die wall lubricant.</p> |
