The assembly to rotate longitudinal timber (B) for sawing, e.g. tree trunks, has a carrier arm (1) at a swivel joint (1a) on a support structure (3), with an actuator (10) to give a swing movement. A second carrier arm (2) is mounted at the first arm by a swivel joint (2a), with an actuator (20) for the swing movements. Both arms have continuous belts (1b,2b) to rotate the timber around its longitudinal axis. The actuators are hydraulic cylinders.
