PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectronic hybrid mixer capable of easily hybridizing the microwave or milliwave signals of subcarrier beams with the electric local oscillating signals at low power consumption. SOLUTION: In a photoelectronic hybrid mixer, the first matching circuit 2a leading the high-frequency signals of a local oscillating circuit 1a to a circuit is photoconverted into subcarrier beams also to be hybridized with the high-frequency signals of the local oscillating circuit 1a. Furthermore, the mixer is provided with a photodiode 3 biased to the non-linear conductive region in inverse bias, a DC power supply 4a driving the photodiode 3 as well as the second matching circuit 2b leading out the hybridized electric signals to an outside circuit. In such a constitution, the inverse-biased photodiode 3 is used in the non-linear region, thereby realizing both photoelectronic conversing function and the hybridizing function to be discharged by one element for reducing the components. |
