PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust objectively a color tone of a monitor with high precision. SOLUTION: A chart that includes a gray step patch 10 consisting of pluralities of patches, where a gradation value 255 that is selected to be 100% changed from 0% stepwise, a white patch 12, a gray 50% patch 14, a gray 20% patch 16, and that also includes a gamma visual operation patch 18 is displayed on a monitor. Black luminance is adjusted so that the reference patch in the gray step is identified with respect to a black background. Luminance and color temperature of the white patch and the gray 50% patch are measured, and the luminance and the color temperature of the white patch and the gray 50% patch are adjusted so that each measured value is in matching with the respective reference value. The color temperature of the gray 20% patch is measured and the color temperature in the vicinity of the black is adjusted so that the measured value is coincident with the reference value. |
