The method involves using a graphical programming interface for programming functions and for controlling bus subscribers. The interface is displayed on a display device of a personal computer (PC)-unit or another programming device and generates scripts to control the bus subscribers, where the PC-unit has a programming block (70). A functional section compiles programs and an image section displays images. The images are assigned to the programs using a graphical operating unit. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method for programming and controlling an electric device arrangement of furniture.
