RED-COLORED COMPOSITION FOR COLOR FILTERS, COLOR FILTER, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red colored composition for a color filter capable of forming red filter segments high in lightness and contrast, a color filter including red filter segments high in lightness and contrast, and a liquid crystal display device equipped with the color filter.

SOLUTION: The red colored composition for a color filter contains a pigment carrier comprising a transparent resin, its precursor or a mixture of them and a pigment, wherein the pigment contains at least a diketopyrrolopyrrole-based red pigment (preferably PR254), an anthraquinone-based red pigment (preferably PR177) and an azo-based yellow pigment (preferably PY150), and each pigment has an average primary particle diameter of 10-50 nm. There are also provided the color filter including red filter segments formed using the red colored composition for a color filter and the liquid crystal display device equipped with the color filter.
