The invention relates to an apparatus for continuously producing a dough str ip (6), the width thereof is a plurality of its thickness, from a dough mass (5 ), and comprises at least one pair of oppositely disposed elongated guiding element s (8, 9) for the dough, which are disposed spaced apart from each other. The dough passes the gap (15) formed this spacing and is guided by the guiding elements (8, 9) driven in opposite direction of revolution from an intake end (16) of the apparatus to an outlet end (17) thereof. At least one of the guiding elements (8, 9) is provided on its periphery with a profile constituted by a plurality of grooves (20) extending across t o the longitudinal direction of the respective guiding elements (8, 9), side-by- side. These grooves (20) assist conveying the dough through the gap (15) and constitute an evading possibility for bubbles present in the dough (5).
