The present invention refers to the electronics and mechanics fields, and mainly to the use of a walking robot including equal modules arranged in different positions. The robot has ten degrees of freedom and has no torso; it is substantially different from robots currently available on the market due to the novel use of equal modules for manufacturing the same, thus considerably simplifying the construction thereof and being easily industrially reproduced. The purpose of the present robot is to perform the walking activity by "balance" without a torso. Said balance is obtained by unique modules developed for producing compensation lateral movements, the walking sequence being performed by modules developed for generating front movements. The inventive modules may be used for manufacturing walking robots having two or more legs applied in different fields such a: research, walking prosthesis, surveillance, access to environments dangerous to human beings, and places where other types of robots cannot access..
