The body has a connection unit (18) connecting heat exchange units (15) and a suspension beam (4). The beam is provided with a support surface that makes contact against a complimentary surface of a cooling tower (1) for detachably mounting the suspension beam on the tower. The unit (18) permits the displacement of one heat exchange unit between close and remote end positions with respect to the adjacent heat exchange unit. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a cooling tower comprising a heat exchange body (b) a method for assembling a heat exchange body adapted to a cooling tower.
