TOPIC INFORMATION PROVIDING METHOD, DEVICE, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viewer with required information which relaxes him or her in a place where he or she can have a chat while viewing a video content.

SOLUTION: The input numbers of viewer's viewing start accesses to scenes of the video content are taken as an object, and a relaxing topic detection procedure is referenced to detect community audience average scenes, and the relaxing topic detection procedure is referenced to rank distributions of topics appearing in the community audience average scenes, whereby a relaxing topic is detected. A relaxing topic management rule is references to give information corresponding to features of the viewer and attributes of the viewer in a pattern of the detected relaxing topic, to the relaxing topic in accordance with a frequency of viewer's viewing of the image content and an instantaneous audience rating of each scene in a video community, and then the relaxing topic is outputted.
