<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of accurately reproducing colors existing in the nature and having excellent image representation capability. <P>SOLUTION: The display device displays a color image by emitting light in a plurality of different colors and comprises a liquid crystal layer disposed between a pair of substrates, a plurality of sub-pixels corresponding to the above plurality of colors and having light reflective regions and light transmissive regions, a reflecting layer formed in the reflective region within the sub-pixel. The plurality of colors are, in an xy chromaticity diagram, a first color in the range expressed by 0.643≤x, y≤0.333, a second color in the range expressed by 0.257≤x, 0.606≤y, a third color in the range expressed by x≤0.164 0.453≤y, and a fourth color in the range expressed by x≤0.151, y≤0.056. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
