DOUBLE-LAYER CAPACITOR POWER STORAGE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-layer capacitor power storage device of maintenance-free performance.

SOLUTION: The double-layer capacitor power storage device includes a capacitor system 10 and a power control means 9 for stably controlling the output of a generator set. The power control means operates to: compute the charging rate of the capacitor system from the voltage of the capacitor system; control the charging/discharging of the capacitor system so that the computed charging rate falls within a predetermined range; limit differential power when the charging rate of the capacitor system reaches either a predetermined value set in proximity to an upper limit value and a lower limit value within the predetermined range; and control the charging/discharging of the capacitor system so that when the charging rate of the capacitor system reaches the upper limit value or the lower limit value, the differential power is zeroed.
