<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant an which exhibits an excellent deodorizing effect against a foul odor source, such as sludge, containing mainly hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptane and ammonia. <P>SOLUTION: The deodorant comprises 1,2-benzenedicarbaldehyde and 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diyl=diacetate, wherein the weight ratio of the 1,2-benzenedicarbaldehyde to the 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diyl=diacetate is 1:10-10:1. The two kinds of compounds are combined to use at a small amount, allowing efficient removal of hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptane and ammonia to exhibit deodorizing effect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
