PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a program, producing minimum data necessary for electrodeposition coating simulation from CAD data to perform the simulation. SOLUTION: This electrodeposition coating method by which a body data 20 surface is applied electrodeposition-coating has: an obstacle model generation process for combining the body data 20 with a space lattice 21 formed at a prescribed pitch by use of the CAD data of the body data 20, and generating an obstacle model 22 of the body data 20 in boundary faces 21b of the space lattice 21; a simulation process for performing the simulation of the electrodeposition coating by use of the obstacle model 22 to determine a coating condition; and an electrodeposition coating process for performing the electrodeposition coating on the basis of the coating condition determined in the simulation process.
