PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve all of low-temperature fixability, image glossiness, and a long life of the developer. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic toner has a structure including core particles containing at least a binder resin, coloring agents, and a releasing agent; and a shell layer to cover the core particles. More than 75 mass% of the binder resin contained in the core particle is polyester resin A. Not less than 75 mass% of the shell layer is polyester resin B. The amount of the isophthalic acid or the amount of dodecenyl succinic acid in the polyester resin A and the polyester resin B satisfies formula (1). And the solubility parameters (SP value) of the polyester resin A and the polyester resin B satisfy formula (2). In formula (1), the amount of the isophthalic acid or the amount of dodecenyl succinic acid in the polyester resin A is larger than the amount of the isophthalic acid or the dodecenyl succinic acid in the polyester resin B.
