PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asphalt roofing tensioning device capable of further safely, quickly, simply and easily sticking an asphalt roofing to a wall surface and the other rising part by a thermally compressing construction method without having high-degree trained skill. SOLUTION: This asphalt roofing tensioning device M is provided for sticking thermally melted asphalt to the whole reverse surface of the asphalt roofing while visually conforming the fact of being uniformly filled when sticking and constructing the asphalt roofing to the wall surface H. The asphalt roofing tensioning device has a tensioning means 1 for embracing and holding the asphalt roofing by lifting the wall surface H, a support means 2 of this tensioning means 1, a pressing means 3 for press-fitting the asphalt roofing to the wall surface H by pressing the tensioning means 1 in the wall surface H direction by freely advancing and retreating in the wall surface H direction and an auxiliary means 4 for upwardly moving the tensioning means 1 via the support means 2 by cooperating with the pressing means 3.
