PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition having effect getting rid of wrinkles and fine lines of the skin without giving any risk to consumers. SOLUTION: In the cosmetic composition containing at least one statistical copolymer having a linear main chain of ethylene nature in a physiologically acceptable medium, the copolymer has (i) a weight-average molecular weight of 15,000-600,000 g/mol and the copolymer is composed of (ii) at least 70 wt.% monomer unit derived from a monomer in which homopolymer thereof is hydrophobic and has a glass transition temperature not lower than 40°C, (iii) at least one monomer unit derived from an ionic hydrophilic monomer which is at least partially neutralized and (iv) 0-25 wt.% monomer unit, in which homopolymer thereof is derived from a additional monomer having <40°C glass transition temperature, selected from an acrylate compound and a methacrylate compound, and the copolymer has (v) overall glass transition temperature of≥45°C.
